WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — Locals in Williston who are thinking about running for office will have an opportunity to attend a forum where they can learn about everything from campaigning to what it means to actually serve.

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce (WACC) has announced the second candidate readiness forum, called Policies & Pastries, for those interested in running for office in 2026.

The event will be led by the WACC Policy Committee on Thursday, November 6. Presenters include North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe and Williams County Commissioner Steve Kemp.

The event will be held at the Teton Lounge at Williston State College from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The readiness forum will repeat the first Thursday of every month.
