A high wind warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 4:10 a.m. valid for Saturday between 4 a.m. and 5 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast and Curry County Coast.
The weather service states, "Southwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts 55 to 65 mph expected."
"Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," adds the weather service. "People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind."
