On Friday at 10:30 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from 8 p.m. until Saturday 8 p.m. for South Central Oregon Coast.
The weather service describes, “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”
“High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
