CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A Chesterfield mother is facing charges after the death of her son.

Manisha Nath was arrested Thursday and charged with abuse and neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death. She is being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail.

Police were called to the Woods Walk Lane on Wednesday for a cardiac arrest.

Twenty-eight-year-old Somak Nath was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police are calling his death “suspicious.”

The medical examiner’s office later told police Nath had autism and couldn’t care for himself.

Police said more charges are possible.
