PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man has serious injuries after being stabbed Thursday night in downtown Phoenix.

Police responded to the reported stabbing around 9 p.m. near 1st Avenue and Van Buren Street . Officers found a man who had been stabbed and was showing “obvious signs of trauma.”

First responders took the man to the hospital with serious injuries, according to Phoenix PD.

No suspect information was provided by police. The area was shut down overnight for detectives to investigate what led to this shooting.
