The stage is set at Rogers Center for Game 1 of the 2025 World Series, where the Toronto Blue Jays will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Toronto has placed a major bet on rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage, who has had a phenomenal season so far.
At 22 years and 88 days old, Yesavage will become the second-youngest Game 1 starter in World Series history, behind only the Dodgers’ Ralph Branca, who did it in 1947. The Blue Jays believe he has earned it after an incredible debut season, which included a record-setting performance in the playoffs.
His girlfriend, Taylor Frick, made sure to share her excitement. She reposted the Blue Jays’ announcement on Instagram and wrote, “LFGGG!!!”
Trey Yesavage has been sensational in October. In the ALDS, he struck out 11 batters in 5 1/3 no-hit inning
