Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) will celebrate on Friday the completion of the structural phase of the new Concourse B.
Officials from Balfour Beatty, the construction company managing the project, and representatives from the Jacksonville Aviation Authority will speak at the ceremony to celebrate the “major milestone” in the expansion of the airport’s terminal facilities.
According to JAA, the new $300 million concourse project will include six additional gates, new restaurants and other retail offerings.

In April, Michael Stewart, JAA’s vice president of external affairs, told News4JAX that the addition of these gates will improve the efficiency of current operations.
