BAY SHORE, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Bay Shore High School employee has been placed on administrative leave and banned from campus amid a police investigation, officials said.
The Bay Shore Union Free School District did not mention the identity of the employee or why they were being investigated by Suffolk County police in an announcement posted to its website on Wednesday.
"The Bay Shore School District will continue to act quickly and responsibly in all matters regarding the well-being of our school community," Superintendent Steven J. Maloney said in a statement.
PIX11 News reached out to the Suffolk County Police Department for comment.
