SALT LAKE CITY — A second person was arrested and extradited back to Utah for the homicide of a Ben Lomond High School student in October.

On Thursday, the Ogden Police Department said the second juvenile suspect was taken into custody in Denver, Colorado, by local law enforcement on Oct. 13.

“The individual has since been transported to Utah and is currently being held in a juvenile detention center pending charges associated with this case,” Ogden PD said in a press release.

On Oct. 7, police responded to a shooting near the high school and found 16-year-old Mason Caballero shot and killed.

According to court documents, Mason was in the back seat of a car with two other people at the time he was shot.
