OGDEN, Utah (ABC4) — A second juvenile suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of a Ben Lomond High School student.

A juvenile suspect was taken into custody in Colorado by law enforcement in connection with a shooting that occurred on October 7, 2025. The juvenile has not been identified "due to the age of the suspect".

This is the second juvenile suspect to have been arrested, after Isaias Emanuel Carranza was arrested on October 11, 2025. Ogden Police Department say that no additional suspects are outstanding at this time.

Both this newly arrested suspect and Carranza have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Mason Caballero.
