COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police arrested a man early Friday morning after he allegedly broke into a home and held two people at gunpoint.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were dispatched at 2:34 a.m. to a burglary in the 2200 block of East Dale Street.
Police said the suspect, Fernando Juarez, 45, went to the home looking for his son. Juarez allegedly forced his way through the front door and pointed a handgun at two people inside the home.
Police said Juarez then forced the two victims outside the home and into a vehicle at gunpoint, where they were all contacted by officers.
Juarez was charged with first-degree burglary and kidnapping.
The two victims were taken to jail on unrelated warrants. Police did not release information on those war
