CLEVELAND, Ohio — Fans heading out to high school football games across Northeast Ohio on Friday night can expect classic late October weather — cool, mostly dry and a touch brisk under partly cloudy skies.
A lingering low-pressure system over the Great Lakes will finally shift east on Friday as high pressure begins to build into the region, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland .
That setup will gradually bring improving conditions Friday evening, though a few lingering lake-effect sprinkles can’t be ruled out in the snowbelt early in the evening. Most inland areas will stay dry for kickoff.
Humidity will stay low, and no significant rain is expected during game time, though fields will most likely be damp from Wednesday and Thursday’s rain.
Temperatures will hover
