DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Ladson Road is getting a makeover.

A so-called streetscaping project along Dorchester Road is slated to begin Oct. 27 with a focus on beautification and revitalization along the stretch of road in the Oakbrook area.

The project, funded by the Oakbook TIF, involves repaving Ladson Road, adding concrete medians with landscaped sections, and creating designated turn lanes to improve traffic flow and aesthetics.

Construction will start at Travelers Boulevard and proceed northeast in five sections towards Wallace Ackerman Drive.
