Before the 2025 NFL season got underway, there was a lot of chatter about how difficult the Detroit Lions’ schedule looked. At least on paper and before any real football had been played, it appeared daunting. However, as we know, things can change fast in the NFL, and while some of the games to come during the second half will certainly still be tough matchups for Detroit, there are others that don’t look as challenging as they did back in late Summer.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, I think it is important to reflect on the first seven games of the Lions’ 2025 campaign. Sitting at 5-2 heading into their Week 8 bye, most around the league would agree that Detroit is in a great position to make plenty of noise over the course of their final 10 regular season games.
