Drake Ranch LLC seeks to rezone 446.72 acres on Marion County's southwest edge and develop a "high-end subdivision" complete with homes, a gym, athletic fields, equine activities, a boat ramp and pavilion, and access to 5,000 acres of conservation land.

The project would sit off State Road 200 just north of the Withlacoochee River near the Citrus/Sumter county boundaries. It would include 40 tracts at least 1 acre in size and four tracts at least 20 acres in size, according to a letter Tillman and Associates Engineering wrote to the county's planning staff.
