MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio – An intoxicated North Royalton man, 37, was arrested at about 9 p.m. Oct. 12 after he became aggressive toward police at The Islander Bar & Grille, 7581 Pearl Road.

Police were called to The Islander regarding a fight between two bar customers. When police arrived, the man approached them and said his friend, one of the two combatants, was innocent and had been attacked.

Police told the man that they were charging no one and that everyone was free to leave. The man argued with police, saying they could not make him leave.

Police advised the man to go home. He yelled at police and moved toward them in an aggressive manner. The man’s friend stepped between him and police but the man kept advancing toward officers.
