AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Augusta Canal Authority is cutting the ribbon on a new ADA compliant kayak launch on Friday afternoon.
The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. at the Mill Village Trailhead, 1905 Pearl Avenue.
Officials say its the first of its kind in Augusta-Richmond County.
Doctors Hospital opens $7M medical lab for ' real hands-on training’
The new simulation lab will serve current students in residency programs as well as future medical students.
According to the Augusta Canal Heritage Area’s Facebook, the project was made possible by a grant from the Georgia Rehabilitation Institute.
Local elected officials, representatives from Georgia Rehabilitation Institute, Canoe and Kayak Club of Augusta and the Augusta Sports Council will be in attendance.
