Sheilagh O’Leary, who won her first provincial election last week to become one of two NDP members in the House of Assembly, has always been big on baseball and will be in front of the tube tonight.

Her father, Sean O’Leary, had a tryout with the Brooklyn Dodgers many eons ago and her brother, Michael O’Leary, made it all the way to “AAA” in Florida – one step below the majors.

O’Leary got her first job selling hot dogs at St. Pat’s ballfield.
