YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. —

A man and his young grandson died Thursday in a side-by-side UTV crash in Yancey County, North Carolina.

Since we first told you about the crash , we have learned more about the victims.

The Yancey County School District said the victims were the husband of a staff member and her grandson, who was also a student in the district.

The school district posted the following on Facebook:

"Our top priority is providing care and support to our students, staff, and the family during this incredibly difficult time. Additional counseling and emotional support services are available to both students and employees.
