Calgary police say an aggravated assault charge could be upgraded pending the results of the victim's autopsy.
A 79-year-old Calgary man is facing aggravated assault charges after an altercation at a McDonald’s parking lot in Crowfoot on Tuesday.
The victim, who was hospitalized in life-threatening condition following the incident, has since died in hospital, and police say charges could be upgraded pending the results of his autopsy.

“We believe there were eyewitnesses to the altercation who may have information that could support the investigation,” CPS said in a news release. “If anyone witnessed the incident or has information, they are asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234.”
