BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Officials from North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) report that just after 9:30 p.m. on October 22, a 38-year-old woman from Devils Lake was seriously injured after striking a Chevrolet Express Van. The woman is expected to be charged with a DUI.
The Devil's Lake woman was driving west in a 2004 Infiniti FX35 on US Highway 2 near mile marker 284 when she struck the rear of a Chevrolet Express van. She then entered the median before rolling over. NDHP says the woman was seriously injured.
The driver of the Chevrolet Express van, a 43-year-old Lakota man, was not injured. In the van were nine members of Lake Region College Men's Intramural Basketball Team, as young as 18 and as old as 20, none of whom were injured.
The crash remains under investigation by NDHP.
