City residents can begin dumping their leaves in a designated area of Memorial Park beginning this weekend.

The disposal area will be open on from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 13.

All leaves must be removed from plastic bags when placed at the park, and no brush or garbage is allowed to be added to the disposal area, which is intended only for leaves.

Residents seeking curbside pickup for their leaves should call the streets department at 724-285-8440 after all the leaves have fallen and been gathered.
