ESPN programming could be removed from YouTube TV if a new contractual agreement isn't met by the end of October.
Google, parent company of YouTube TV, and Disney, parent company of ESPN, need to reach an updated contractual agreement to keep the latter's programming on YouTube TV by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 30, according to a Google statement obtained by USA TODAY.
"Unfortunately, Disney is proposing costly economic terms that would raise prices on YouTube TV customers and give our customers fewer choices, while benefiting Disney’s own live TV products – like Hulu + Live TV and, soon, Fubo," an Official YouTube Blog post made on Oct. 23 says.
Disney did not immediately respond when contacted by USA TODAY on Friday, Oct. 24.
