Neighbours on a Cheetham Hill street have spoken of a horror knife attack in the wake of a suspected murder. A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Cardinal Street area following a car chase, in which a vehicle flipped.

One person told the Manchester Evening News ' stuff like that happens a lot around here' and that they 'see that kind of thing all the time'.

The victim died in hospital following the incident on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Cardinal Street on October 23 after a car flipped onto its roof and a man was stabbed in what police are calling a targeted attack.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the street stabbing and have arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of murder.
