SCHENECTADY — The owner of a Schenectady-based medical transportation company and his associate have been charged with stealing nearly $2 million from the state’s Medicaid program through a yearslong scheme, marking the second time in recent months the company has been accused of fraud.

Mohammad Chaudhry, 43, the owner of Angel Medical Transportation, allegedly inflated Medicaid bills between January 2020 and September 2024 by submitting claims for rides that never occurred, overcharged for others and lying about destinations to inflate payments.
