HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have launched an attempted murder investigation following a drive-by shooting in the Kalihi area Thursday night.
According to police, the incident happened at around 10:29 p.m.
Officers said they responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Houghtailing and North king Streets.
Police said two men ages 35 and 53 years old were driving in the area when a gray sedan followed closely behind them before pulling up alongside their vehicle.
Police said the unidentified male suspect then brandished a handgun and fired one round, striking the hood of the victims’ car.
The suspect then fled the scene makai-bound on Houghtailing Street, police said.
HPD said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
