NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A New Jersey police sergeant has been charged with official misconduct for allegedly going out for pizza and to the bank before responding to a 911 call that ended up being a murder-suicide, New Jersey officials announced Friday.

Kevin Bollaro faces charges of second-degree misconduct for allegedly neglecting his police duties to obtain a personal benefit, along with disorderly conduct related to tampering with public records, according to New Jersey Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.

In August 2025, New Jersey State Trooper Ricardo Santos is believed to have killed 33-year-old Lauren Semanchik and 29-year-old Tyler Webb before taking his own life, officials said.
