WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says an all-way stop will soon be implemented on U.S. 224 in Wells County.
On or after Monday, Oct 27, the intersection of U.S. 224 and C.R. 300 W., between Markle and Uniondale, will transition from a 2-way stop to a 4-way stop
INDOT says stop-ahead signs, oversized stop signs, buzz strips, and stop bars will be implemented, as well as temporary message signs to alert traffic of the changes.
According to the department, the decision to convert the intersection comes as a result of a traffic engineer investigation. The goal of the change is to help reduce crashes at the intersection.
