FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - October is Family History Month.

As part of the celebrations, the Allen County Public Library and its Genealogy Center are inviting community members to a ‘one-of-a-kind local history experience’.

From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on October 24-26, a ‘Haunted Forest’ tour is being held at the Lindenwood Cemetery.

According to the library, the free event includes a walking tour of historic Lindenwood Cemetery, where guests will hear ‘the captivating stories of some of the city’s notable past residents—individuals whose legacies still shape the community today’.

Additionally, Northrop High School’s theatre students will transform the woods of Lindenwood Nature Preserve into a ‘haunted realm of eerie sights and sounds’.
