The future of Chatham’s large Enbridge office is under review as the natural gas utility does a regular evaluation of its facilities and real estate strategy, but no jobs will be lost, it says.
The Calgary-based company said in a statement it’s “exploring options to better support our team and evolving operational needs.
“However, no final decisions have been made, and no changes are expected in the near term,” company officials added. “There will be no reduction in job numbers as a result of this potential move.”
The process won’t affect customers or communities served by Enbridge, which has about 1,000 employees in Southwestern Ontario and remains “committed to maintaining our strong presence in the region,” company officials said.
