FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 28-year-old Indianapolis man is facing a murder charge in connection with the death of a Fort Wayne woman last week.
Antres Damon Holliness-Ransom is accused of killing 28-year-old Jasmine Haywood, whose body was found inside an apartment in the 2900 block of Schele Avenue on Oct. 17, about 15 minutes before midnight.
Police found Haywood on the bedroom floor with a gunshot wound to her forehead and “significant damage” to her face, according to court records obtained by 21Investigates. She was pronounced dead at the scene and crime scene photos showed that lividity, or post-mortem hypostasis, which typically occurs within one to three hours after death , according to the National Library of Medicine.
