No one needs an excuse to watch Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece “The Godfather,” but the minds behind the monthly showings at CALS Ron Robinson Theater have found a tangential one. The film’s second sequel, “The Godfather Part III,” turns 35 this year and, as Roger Ebert once opined , it’s “not even possible to understand this film without knowing the first two,” so we’re getting the whole trilogy!
Also on the November docket at Ron Robinson are 1995’s “Jumanji,” the second scariest movie I ever saw as a very innocent kid (first goes to “Signs” by M. Night Shyamalan); 1975’s “Tommy,” based on The Who’s famously bizarre rock opera; and a few new releases from this year: “Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror,” “The Last Class” and “D(e)ad.”
