The World Bank has approved a health improvement programme for Kerala worth $280 million to enhance the health coverage for elderly and vulnerable people in the state.
The decision was taken by the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors, the bank said in a press note on Friday, Oct 24.
Dubbed 'Kerala Health System Improvement Programme', the initiative aims to improve the quality of life for over 11 million population belonging to the elderly and vulnerable categories.
The $280 million will help the government to expand digital health systems by broadening eHealth services, strengthen integrated data platforms and enhance cybersecurity.
