SRINAGAR : The Northern Railway has decided to introduce a new halt for the Srinagar–Katra Vande Bharat Express at Reasi railway station from October 29, 2025, in a move aimed at improving passenger convenience and responding to local demand. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Officials said that the train, numbered 26401-26402, will stop for two minutes at Reasi in both directions.

Until now, the semi-high-speed train only had a single stop between Katra and Srinagar — at Banihal.

The Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6, 2025, became the first rail service to directly connect the Jammu region with the Kashmir Valley. Since its launch, it has been widely appreciated for its comfort, speed, and reliability.
