CLEAR LAKE, Iowa — The Surf Ballroom is gearing up to host the 2026 Winter Dance Party, honoring rock 'n' roll legends Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson.

This iconic event will run from January 28 to February 2, 2026, offering a nostalgic celebration for music enthusiasts.

Highlighting the event is Billy F. Gibbons of ZZ Top fame. Gibbons, known for his influence in blues-rock, credits Buddy Holly’s “Peggy Sue Got Married” as an inspiration for his music.
