WINCHESTER, IN — A Randolph County man has been accused of inappropriately touching a teenager.

Phillip Lee Whiteman, 54, of Lynn, is charged in Randolph Superior Court with sexual battery, a Level 6 felony carrying up to 30 months in prison, and furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor.

According to an affidavit, Whiteman on Oct. 20 sent text messages to an 18-year-old female, telling her she had appeared "absolutely beautiful" at a mutual friend's recent wedding.
