A grand jury indictment was unsealed Friday against former LAPD officer Clifford Proctor, who now faces a 2nd degree murder charge for the on-duty shooting of a homeless man in Venice in 2015.

Proctor, who made an initial appearance in court Friday morning, was arrested last week at LAX when he returned to the US from Trinidad, where he'd been living for more than a year.

The indictment accuses Proctor of murdering 29-year-old Brendon Glenn with a handgun.

The shooting happened in May, 2015, after Proctor and another officer responded to a disturbance call outside a bar near the Venice boardwalk.
