UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV) -- The weekend is shaping up to be much quieter as that stubborn low-pressure system finally weakens and drifts away! While there’s still a small chance for a quick, passing shower on Saturday—mainly from lingering lake-effect moisture—most of the area should stay dry. Clouds will start to break up a bit, and you’ll notice more sunshine peeking through as the weekend goes on. It’ll stay on the cool side, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s and overnight lows dipping into the 30s. Some of the chillier spots, especially in higher elevations like the Tug Hill, could drop into the upper 20s overnight. That might mean a touch of frost or even a few stray snowflakes, but nothing that will stick.
