A man from southern Alberta has learned his fate.
During a recent appearance in court, 36-year-old William Allan McQueen was sentenced on charges of possessing and accessing child pornography.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team’s (ALERT’s) Internet Child Exploitation Unit says it searched a home in the community on April 28, 2025 and arrested McQueen.
He had been arrested for similar offences in October 2019.
McQueen was sentenced to three years in custody, but with credit for time already served, he was ordered to spend the next two years and seven months behind bars.
Charges of distributing and selling child pornography, as well as two counts related to firearms, were withdrawn.
However, McQueen was also given a firearms prohibition.
