WINNESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa -- A former Iowa man who was found guilty of the death of a teen missing since 2017 was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.
In the spring of 2017, Jade Marie Colvin, 15, travelled from Arizona and arrived at her destination, a rural Winneshiek County farm that was at the time owned by James David Bachmurski, Sr. According to court records, Colvin and Bachmurski had been communicating online unbeknownst to Colvin's mother who had reportedly been in a relationship with Bachmurski for a short time.
Not long after Colvin arrived at Bachmurski's farm she was reported missing. The Iowa Attorney General's Office said she was last seen at a Decorah Walmart with Bachmurski in March of that year and had stopped responding to messages. As of 2025, Colvin's body has not been foun
