SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - The Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System announced that the current agreement with UnitedHealthcare has been extended until November 3.

The current agreement includes Spartanburg Regional's hospitals, affiliated physicians and providers, and consists of UnitedHealthcare’s commercial and Medicare Advantage plans.

The original agreement was originally set to expire October 14, then the deadline was extended to October 24. If a new agreement is not reached before the deadline, Spartanburg Regional’s facilities will become out of network for UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored plans.

Family-plans are set to expire on December 31.
