SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The deadline for UnitedHealthcare and Spartanburg Regional Health System to agree to a new contract has been extended for a second time amid negotiations.
The former contract was set to expire Friday after a previous extension , but it has been extended again to expire on Nov. 3.
Spartanburg Regional released the following statement:
FOX Carolina has reached out to UnitedHealthcare for a statement regarding the new extension and is waiting to hear back.
If a new agreement is not met before Nov. 3, Spartanburg Regional Health System providers and facilities could become out-of-network for patients with UHC.
