Michigan edge rusher Derrick Moore was simply dominant in a 24-7 win over Washington last weekend with three tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble. For his efforts, he was named as Pro Football Focus’ top-graded defender with his season-best 92.7 overall grade.

It didn’t come easy, as Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is a dangerous dual-threat athlete. But Wink Martindale and company found a way to keep him contained, and an integral part of that was Moore’s ability to create pressure and shed blockers on a consistent basis.
