TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) -- Indiana State hit the floor at Hulman Center Friday afternoon, preparing for their exhibition at Butler next week.

The Sycamores found out Monday, like everyone else did, that their head coach would be missing some time after undergoing triple bypass surgery.

"We had a team meeting Monday before the news break and it was a bit of a shock," says junior Camp Wagner.

Associate head coach Mark Slessinger is now stepping in as acting head coach until Graves returns and he says the Sycamores have responded well to the news.

"Everybody has rallied together," says Slessinger.

"The outpouring of love and support for him and his family has been unbelievable. One of the many reasons that makes us a special place."
