The proposed Peoria Unified School District policy titled, “No Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives,” will have some revisions before it will be considered for final approval.

Staff listened to recommendations from the public and governing board Oct. 23 regarding the policy, which states the district is choosing intentionally to “maintain neutrality regarding matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, critical race theory, culturally responsive learning and restorative practices in all aspects of educational policy and practice.”
