Death Of 72-Year-Old Man Under Investigation In Sayreville, Prosecutor Says

Authorities are investigating the death of a 72-year-old man found unresponsive in Sayreville, authorities said.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, at approximately 2:02 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive male, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Sayreville Police Chief Daniel Plumacker.

When officers arrived, they found Dhirubhai A. Patel, a 72-year-old homeless man, unresponsive. Patel was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
