The Adler Planetarium will open its temporary exhibition, "Stars Aligned: Tracing the History of Astronomy and Astrology," on Friday, Oct. 31. The exhibit reveals how these two fields, now seen as distinct, were once a unified practice between roughly 1500 and 1800. By presenting rare artifacts and astrological tools, the exhibition allows visitors to understand how early-modern people used celestial observations both to advance scientific knowledge and to interpret fate and time.
