CINCINNATI -- On the banks of the Ohio River next to Great American Ballpark, the Komets are at the Heritage Bank Center for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Komets won both of their games last week, shutting out the Indy Fuel 4-0 in their season opener and beating the Kalamazoo Wings 6-5 on a last-second goal. Meanwhile, Cincinnati fell to the Wheeling Nailers 5-3 in their lone game of the opening weekend.
The Komets won six of their eight games against the Cyclones last season.
Tonight’s game is the only one on the Komets' slate this weekend. With a light week schedule, the team focused on their special teams during the week after coach Jesse Kallechy admitted they hadn’t gotten much of a chance to work on it before the season began.
