BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - More than two dozen security guards working for Guard Tac say they have not been paid, despite the company receiving a $2.8 million state contract Sept. 4 to protect government buildings across Louisiana.

The security company was awarded the contract for government buildings in Lafayette, Shreveport, Monroe, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge, taking over both security operations and employees from the previous contractor.

A worker provided a list of more than thirty Guard Tac employees who say they are still waiting to get paid. When approached for comment, a woman identified as a supervisor declined to answer questions about the unpaid wages.
