Winnipeg police are asking the public to help them locate a missing nine-year-old boy.

Xavier Moore was last seen Friday around 11 a.m. near Inkster Boulevard and Arlington Street, the police service said in a missing person alert sent Friday evening.

Xavier is four feet 11 inches tall with a small build. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. Police say he was last seen wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt, black shorts and runners that are black and white.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Winnipeg Police Service's missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
